High frequency oscillation は、３－１５Hzの高頻度のoscillationによる、肺保護的換気方法で、小1回換気量（１－４ｍｌ/ｋｇ）で肺のコンスタントな回復をめざすもの

通常の人工呼吸法不能の患者にHFO使用する施設もあるが、以前この"rescue"治療に関して議論がある。不応性低酸素血症患者での酸素化の改善のいくつかの観察研究、RCTのシステマティック・レビューで結論づけられてなかった。

オッシレーション法、以前、行ってたことがあるので、個人的に懐かしい・・・２０数年前だが・・・その後、評価は鳴かず飛ばず・・・だったが、少なくともARDSの分野では再評価？
