Valgimigliらは、ST上昇型心筋梗塞（STEM)と新規左脚ブロックを示した患者への経皮的冠動脈インターベンションの４つの戦略の一つに割り当て

・abciximab with an uncoated stent
・abciximab with a sirolimus-eluting stent
・tirofiban with an uncoated stent
・tirofiban with a sirolimus-eluting stent

インターベンション後９０分後のST上昇改善５０％到達率に関してtirofibanはabcimimabに対して非劣性が確認された

フォローアップ８ヶ月間で、sirolimus-eluting stentを受けた患者は非コートステントに比べ有意に心イベントを減少させる。
